CSC 4
According to the Michigan Penal Code Section 750.520(e), criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree occurs when an individual has sexual contact with another and specific scenarios exists. The following circumstances can lead to a charge of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree if the victim is between the ages of 13 to 16 and the offender is 5 or more years older than the victim or the offender used force against the victim to commit the sexual contact. A possible additional circumstance that could lead to an individual engaging in sexual conduct being charged with criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree would be if the victim was mentally or physically incapacitated d the offender had knowledge or had reason to know about victim’s mental or physical incapacities.
If one is convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree, they will be found guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 2 years or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both.
An example of CSC 4 would be squeezing the buttocks of someone against their will. Like CSC 2, CSC 4 is about sexual contact as opposed to sexual penetration.
